CCC spokesperson Fadzayi Mahere has defended Nelson Chamisa over accusations that he has failed his incancerated MPs Job Sikhala and Godfrey Sithole.
Mahere said Chamisa has not let down his team instead they have been let down by the system which has failed to guarantee them their rights.
Addressing the press, Mahere said the persecution of Sikhala, Sithole and the entire Nyatsime group is an assault on the Constitution and freedom.
She said they have been jailed without trial for over 2 months while thieves who were caught red-handed walk free.
Mahere said a lot of the political persecutions faced by CCC members are scripted.
She added that the problem is not with CCC but a shrinking democratic space where the constitution has been assaulted and citizens rights are being erased.
