Popular award winning Zimbabwean journalist, Hopewell Chin’ono, has slammed Madam Boss (Tyra Chikocho) after she refused to condemn the murder of Moreblessing Ali.
Writing on Facebook, Chin’ono said he does not follow Madam Boss because she is irrelevant.
Chin’ono wrote:
Many people have inboxed this to me.
It is her right to keep quiet and not speak out against injustices.
The democracy that we are fighting for also allows her not to be interested in things that affect women, opposition supporters and citizens in general, she has that right.
What matters is what you do with that knowledge, you have a choice to stay away from her and not follow her if you are not happy with her position.
Don’t bash her, if you see many Zimbabweans not bothered with what she has said, it means they are also like her, it defines our country, that is who we are, selfish and perhaps enablers or just not bothered.
She still has a huge following of millions after saying this, it means they agree with her, it means that is who we are, selfish or just not bothered!
Personally I have never followed these comedians, so what they say or don’t say is irrelevant to me.
