President Hakainde Hichilema has arrived in Eswatini where he was invited by His Majesty, King Mswati III.

In a statement, Hichilema said the State visit is yet another illustration that the two countries will look within Africa for social, economic and political solutions.

Below is what he said

Fellow citizens.

We have arrived in the Kingdom of Eswatini at the invitation of His Majesty, King Mswati III. Zambia just like Eswatini is land-linked and as such areas of trade and investment remain key.

This State visit is yet another illustration that we will look within Africa for social, economic and political solutions. We are one Zambia! One Nation and One Africa! One People! And this is evidenced by the so many similarities in culture and our ways of life.

Zambia’s success story will not be won alone but by us all uniting including working with people of the Kingdom of Eswatini and therefore it is important for us all to build peace and unity among the Nations. And like the adage: No man is an island. Let’s journey together in ensuring a great Zambia and Africa for all.

Once more. Thank you to His Majesty for this invitation which will see a lot of engagements and ultimately both the wonderful people of Zambia and the Kingdom of Eswatini feeling proud.

In the company of Minister of Tourism Rodney Sikumba and his counterpart for Commerce Chipoka Mulenga, we have been received by Eswatini Prime Minister Cleophas Sipho Dlamini and later we will be the guests of His Majesty, King Mswati III.

Zambia is getting better and indeed will be better. May God bless our country.

Hakainde Hichilema
President of the Republic of  Zambia
