Two ANC members councillor Andile Andries and branch secretary, Lubabalo Keso were killed on Monday after unknown gunmen fired at them at Nelson Mandela Bay.
Police are investigating circumstances surrounding the incident.
Andries and Keso were approached by a Quantum taxi whose occupants fired several shots, killing the ANC members at the scene, before speeding off.
Police are appealing to members of the public with information about the shooting to make contact with the nearest police station or call the Crime Stop number at 08600-10111.
