At least seven suspected undocumented foreign nationals have been arrested by police in Diepsloot.
This comes amid protests on Wednesday when police fired stun grenades and rubber bullets.
Residents in the area are frustrated over the high crime levels and the local police’s inaction.
Police Minister Bheki Cele said ‘Amaberete’ will be deployed to Diepsloot however, the community says they are sick and tired of Cele’s empty promises.
