28 members of parliament are expected to be sworn in today in the National Assembly following their victory in the by elections.
Clerk of Parliament Mr Kennedy Chokuda will administer the oath of their affirmation to the constitution and laws of the country in accordance with the constitution.
Writing on Twitter, CCC leader Nelson Chamisa said; “CITIZENS’ MPs SWORN IN TODAY..”
He said the recent by-elections showed that ultimately citizens have the power to change things and define the direction of a nation.
CCC managed to get 19 parliamentary seats out of 28 and 75 council seats.
