Self exiled professor Jonathan Nathaniel Mlevu Moyo is celebrating his 65years of age today.
ZBC news anchor Lee Ann Bernard wished Moyo a happy birthday.
Moyo born 12 January 1957 was raised by his mother, in absentia of the father. His father’s name was Melusi Job Mlevu. He was a politician and was allegedly murdered on January 22nd, 1983 during the Gukurahundi massacre.
He attended his primary school at Mbiriya primary school in Tsholotsho North and his High school was in Mpopoma High school.
Moyo attended the University of Zimbabwe and the University of Southern California. He holds a Bachelors (BSc) degree and a PhD degree in Public Policy and a master’s degree in Public Administration.
He served as Minister of Higher Education from 2015 to 2017. He was previously Minister of Information and Publicity from 2000 to 2005 and again from 2013 to 2015. He is considered the core architec of the AIPPA and POSA restrictive legislation.
