Legendary musician, Zex Manatsa has heavily criticised the founder of Zim Eye, Simbarashe Chikanza.

Manatsa took to social media to criticise Simba Chikanza after he published a false story about Manatsa seeking for medical help from Zanu-PF.

“My family, friends and fans, as you know I am battling cancer. The last couple of weeks have been tough on my body. I am currently admitted in hospital in order to be closely monitored and receiving treatment from specialists. Mentally, I am strong and optimistic. Mainly because my family is here with me everyday, all the way on this journey. My family has been and continue to take care of all my medical bills. We have not approached Zanu PF nor anyone for financial assistance yet and, neither have we been denied assistance as reported on social media by ZimEye. I am not stranded, my family is making sure that I am well catered for and comfortablel. I and my family shall continue to keep you updated on how I’m doing OFFICIALLY on this page. Once again, I thank you all from the bottom of my heart, for your prayers, love and support as always. Sincerely: Zex Manatsa,” he posted.

Few months ago, Zex Manatsa announced that he has been diagnosed with myeloma cancer.

According to the American Cancer Society, multiple myeloma is a cancer of the plasma cells and starts when the cells become cancerous and grow out of control in the bone marrow.

The plasma cells tend to make abnormal protein  (antibody) known by several different names, including monoclonal protein  (M-protein), M-spike, or paraprotein.

The overgrowth of plasma cells in the bone marrow can crowd out normal blood-forming cells, leading to low blood counts.

This can cause anemia – a shortage of red blood cells where people affected tend to become weak and fatigued; increased bleeding and bruising among several other effects.
