Former Mr Gay Namibia Wendelinus Hamutenya says he is still deeply in love with his husband Immanuel Jeremiah despite last night’s stabbing incident which left him hospitalised with serious injuries.
Hamutenya was admitted to the Katutura Intermediate Hospital for the treatment of serious injuries, after allegedly being assaulted by his husband on Monday morning.
Chief inspector of the Namibian Police Elifas Kuwinga confirmed that the 32- year-old suspect, Jeremiah Immaneul, was arrested and detained at the Wanaheda Police Station on the same day.
It is alleged that the suspect stabbed Hamutenya once on the left nipple and three times on his left arm, which resulted in serious injuries.
Sources say Hamutenya has undergone significant medical procedures and is also expected to undergo a CT-scan to determine the extent of the damage to his lungs.
