PROMINENT music producers Dj Fantan and Levels of Chilli Spot Records have celebrated with their Lawyer Dumisani Mthombeni after successfully paying $2 000 fines on Wednesday.
The trio had been sentenced to 12 months in prison.
However, the court had suspended half of the sentence and the trio was to spend 6 months in prison.
They were found guilty of convening a public gathering during a national lockdown in contravention to statutory instrument 77 of 2020 of the Covid-19.
The zimdancehall fraternity has declared 13 October the Zimdancehall freedom day celebrating the freeing of the producers.
Fantan promised his fans to release a riddim titled “13 October”.
