SUNGURA legend Alick Macheso travelled to Capetown, South Africa few days ago.

Macheso went to Capetown to perfom after his trip to South Africa was postponed multiple time due to Covid-19 regulations in the country.

Before Ramaphosa announced that South Africa is moving to level 1 of lockdown many artists had to cancel their trips to South Africa as they feared running a loss.

The Covid-19 regulations allowed few individuals to attend musical events.

However, this time around the Sungura Kingpin Alick Macheso will stay longer in South Africa after confirming another show penciled for October 17 at Goodwood Civic Hall in Capetown.

Macheso already has two confirmed shows one on 9 October at Newton Music Factory formerly Baseline in Netwon, Johannesburg and another one on 10 October at Germiston Lounge in Germiston. This means he will have to wait a week longer in SA for the October 17 show in Capetown.

Some of Macheso’s fans dotted in areas like Durban and Pretoria to name a few have also been clamouring for similar shows in their neighbourhoods and with authorities in Zimbabwe yet to lift the ban on live performances, Macheso could have more SA performances lined up.
