The government of Zimbabwe has apologized to Kenyan Youtuber African Tigress.
The ministry of Home Affairs and Cultural Heritage says investigations are currently underway following the mistreatment of a Kenyan Youtuber at Robert Gabriel Mugabe Airport.
An African sister, who goes by the name African Tigress under the Twitter handle @Kenyansista released a video that went viral on social media.
In the video, African Tigress recounted her alleged traumatic experiences as she sought to enter Zimbabwe through the Robert Gabriel Mugabe Airport.
Immigration officials are alleged to have attempted to extort money from the visiting foreign national.
However, following such allegations the Ministry of Home Affairs and Cultural Heritage has assured the public that no stone will be left unturned in order to arrest the culprits.
“We take this opportunity to advise the nation that investigations are currently underway to ascertain the facts and anyone caught in the wrong side of the law will be dealt with accordingly. The nation will be kept abreast of developments,” said the ministry in a statement.
