The Epworth woman who confessed to stealing a new born baby at Epworth clinic was over the weekend denied bail.

The suspect Christina Gwashavanhu was not asked to plead when she appeared before Harare magistrate Dennis Mangosi who remanded her in custody because she is of no fixed aboard.

The court heard that she kidnapped the new born baby while the mother was asleep due to fatigue from child birth.

Gwashavanhu who was dressed in a nurse’s apparel was apprehended by a security guard on her way out with the baby leading to her arrest.
In a video that went viral last week, Gwashavanhu confessed that she was going to behead the baby and exchange the head for a commuter omnibus in South Africa.
