Will Smith has this week revealed his secrets to success.

Writing on YouTube, Smith said when he was young, his father taught him to play chess.

His father said to him:

When you’re looking at a chessboard, here’s what I want you to do. In your mind, position each piece, wherever you want it.

Pick them up in your mind and put them where you want them. Where you wish they were.

He was like, that’s the trick of your mind.

Smith said:

I used to watch all the time, with people fighting Mike Tyson, as they were walking into the ring: They were already defeated.

If you say in your mind, ‘I can’t’ . You’re done. You’re dead. You are training yourself to not even be able to imagine what you can achieve.

In your mind has to be the wildest freest place for you have everything you’ve ever dreamed.

Will said people who can’t do something themselves, they want to tell you you can’t do it. You want something, go get it. Period!

Don’t start by telling yourself you can’t, let your mind go fully to the impossible dream!
