Kenya Broadcasting Corporation video editor, Betty Barasa, was shot dead at her home by three attackers using an AK47.
According to her husband, Geoffrey Basara, who was at the scene during the attack, the three gunmen jumped in after Betty drove into the yard around 8pm.
He said Betty was shot twice in the face and died instantly.
Geoffrey said bullet cartridges were found inside her clothing by police who attended the scene.
The three took three cellphones and a laptop and escaped on foot.
The husband said he and Betty moved into their house in 2018 and there had never been any incidents before this attack and shooting.
A police spokesman said investigations are underway to determine the motive behind the attack.
