The formal extradition hearing of fugitive Malawian prophet, Shepherd Bushiri, and his wife, Mary, will be on 8 March 2021.
This comes after a Lilongwe magistrates court order issued this morning.
The court has issued a warrant of arrest for Bushiri and his wife, after the two appeared in court on another application for a warrant of arrest by the state.
The new warrant of arrest states that the Bushiri’s should be summoned to court on March 8.
On 8 February, the State will file an application for extradition for the two fugitives.
On the 16th of February the Defence counsel representing the Bushiri’s will have to file a response.
Then the matter will then come for a hearing on the 8th of March.
