A new political party, Movement For Democratic Change, has been launched in Zambia this morning by former finance Minister, Felix Mutati.
MDC President, Felix Mutati, will be challenging his former boss, President Edgar Lungu.
Zambia is in the grip of election fever, with vicious campagning taking place although the election date is almost a year away.
In Zimbabwe, the political party with the name Movement For Democratic Change, has split into multiple factions: MDC Alliance, MDC-T, MDC-99, PDP, MDC Green over the past 20 years.
Its most popular leader, Nelson Chamisa, who claims to have received 2,6 million votes in the 2018 elections, has been deposed, after the supreme court ruled that he did not properly succeed the late leader, Morgan Tsvangirai.
