In a shocking development, a Zimbabwean national on an asylum permit, Blessing Bveni, was arrested for multiple murders that took place at the iconic Table mountain national park in Cape Town.

Blessing, whose history in Zimbabwe is unknown to South African authorities, arrived in South Africa in 2017.

He was arrested at his home in Fillipe where a belongings of some of the victims of the table mountain murders were found in his possession. Blessing, is still currently in custody awaiting trial, due to delays caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

Among the murders that Bveni is being accused of is the knife attack murder of pilot, Doug Notten (50) and that of Ian Mcpherson.
