Various local groups in South Africa are mobilizing for a big march against the large number of foreigners living and working in South Africa.
The March is set to take place in Pretoria on Friday the 16th of October 2020.
Groups such as PutSouthAfricansFirst believe that crime, prostitutions and unemployment in South Africa is being caused by foreigners, mostly Zimbabweans and South Africans.
The groups believe that South Africans should not be burdened by the problems of other countries. They want preferential treatment for South Africans when it comes to work permits and running of businesses in townships.
Organizers previously marched to the Nigerian Embassy where they handed a memorandum demanding that Nigerians involved in crime should leave South Africa.
The Nigerian Ambassador denied that Nigerians commit more crimes than other foreign nationals in South Africa.
