Award winning Zimbabwe Journalist, Hopewell Chin’ono, has Coronavirus, his lawyer, Doug Coltart has revealed.
Speaking to the SABC, Coltart also revealed that 6 of Jacob Ngarivhume ‘s cell mates have tested positive for Coronavirus.
Chin’ Ono had a headache, fever and difficulty breathing, indicators of Coronavirus.
Coltart says Chin’ono was allowed to be seen by his private doctor and was treated.
Chin’ono has reportedly been living on a diet of water and biscuits for the past 6 weeks since he was jailed for organizing the 31st July Demonstrations.
The Zimbabwe Prison service have however denied reports that Chin’ono is ill.
