Social media and Radio personality Misred has Apologised on twitter after she received backlash for saying there is no crisis in Zimbabwe as much as social media reportage has said.

In an interview with a radio station in Ghana, Misred said that Social media is exaggerating the actual situation in Zimbabwe yet it is not as bad as the international community may think.

This made an uproar on social media with people saying all kinds of negative utterances against the social media personality saying that she has betrayed Zimbabwe as a whole.

Furthermore, Misred said that social media portrayed Zimbabwe as a war zone and this has attracted much attention on social media globally with international celebrities showing their concern.

She said that the Zimbabwean social media scene is made up of Zimbabweans in the Diaspora and citizens in the urban areas such that those in the rural areas might not even know what #ZimbabweanLivesMatter is about.

Misred said that Zimbabwean youths feel like they have been robbed of their future and dreams because of unemployment and poor economic atmosphere in the country that is why many of them are using social media to speak out.
