Wits Business School Academic and Robert Mugabe’s nephew, Patrick Zhuwao, says Mnangagwa is out of his depth and is incapable of turning around Zimbabwe’s economy.

Zhuwao said Mnangagwais a divisive character who is not capable of uniting the country. He said Mnangagwa is sorrounded by a cabal that believes that because they fought in the war of liberation, then they own Zimbabwe.

Zhuwao said Mugabe was much better that Mnangagwa because he educated Zimbabweans and this is why Zimbabwe is getting billions in remittances from the Diapora.

Zhuwao said anyone who speaks against Mnangagwa’s government is labelled and met with insults.

On Human Rights, Zhuwao said he wants to remember Mugabe for the good that he has done and it is difficult for him to speak objectively about Mugabe’s alleged human rights abuses.

Zhuwao said Zimbabwe should go through a Truth and reconciliation commission to deal with the issues to do with Human Right Abuses.

Zhuwao said every Zimbabwean should be allowed to be a part of the governance of Zimbabwe. He said Zimbabwe has a winner take all political culture and the GNU period brought stability and the economy improved significantly.

Zhuwao said ,however, Mnangagwa’s cabal does not want an opposition.

On land compensation, Zhuwao said Mnangagwa is trying to Hoodwink foreign countries into supporting him. He said Mnangagwa is now allowing coal mining in Hwange National which is a danger to the environment.

Zhuwao said Mnangagwa has ensured that the media is in a state of panic because of the arrest of journalist Hopewell Chin’ono and the abduction of Tawanda Muchehiwa in broad daylight.
