Ideal Zimbabwe President, Tinashe Jonas said Mnangagwa did not impose the curfew in Zimbabwe for sinister reasons. Jonas said the increase in coronavirus cases in Zimbabwe made it necessary for Mnangagwa to impose a curfew.

Jonas said the MDC Alliance can not remove Mnangagwa using the 31 July demonstration and Mnangagwa can only be removed through an election for example the one that is going to be held in 2023.

Mnangagwa yesterday imposed a curfew in Zimbabwe from 6am to 6pm with shops only opening between 8am and 3pm.

Jonas said ZUPCO buses will ow be more available because fewer people will be moving around.

Food shops and markets will be open for people to buy food.

Similarly, South Africa, Lesotho and Botswana have imposed similar curfews.
