Gambakwe Media can exclusively reveal that Advocate Thabani Mpofu was arrested over certified documents involving a High level constitutional case that is awaiting judgement.
Gambakwe media has seen two draft affidavits one of which reads:
I Thabani Mpofu: ID Number xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx residing at xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx do admit having been informed by Detective Chief Inspector Mazhawidza of CID Police Anti-Corruption Unit ( Northern Region) that enquiries are being made in connection with a case of defeating or obstructing the course of justice defined in section 184 (1)(d) of the criminal law codification and reform act Chapter 9:23 which occurred at the constitutional court of Zimbabwe, Harare on the 25th of January 2019 where it is being alleged that I acting in Connivance with Makanza (NFPK) and Choice Damiso, well knowing that Simbarashe Zuze does not exist, drafted an Affidavit to purpot as if it had already been sworn before Choice Damiso and filed it before the constitutional court under case number CCZ 03/19, challenging the appointment of the Prosector General.
It is alleged that by such an act, I defeated or obstructed the course of justice, and as such, make this statement on my own free will.
