Zimbabwe’s Covid19 positive cases have increased to 132 after 76 new cases were recorded in Beitbridge, Masvingo and Harare.
According to the Minister of Information Monica Mutsvangwa, most of the cases were registered among returnees from South Africa and Botswana, while one of the cases is a local transmission.
Mutsvangwa said Wilkins hospital and Parirenyetwa hospital are now ready to admit critical covid-19 patients.
Mutsvangwa said it is important that all returning citizens quarantined therefore security is being tightened within quarantine facilities across Zimbabwe.
Moreover, Mutsvangwa said as the opening of schools is now imminent, schools will seize being used as quarantine facilities to give them ample time for disinfection.
Wearing of a face mask remains mandatory of which failure to do so may lead to arrest and payment of fines.
