Ayanda Candice Sibanda is Miss Albinism Zimbabwe 2019,she started beauty pageantry when she was only 7 years old and it is something that has always been close to her heart.
“Beauty pageantry is something that is close to my heart because I believe that it gives opportunity to a young woman,it helps you embrace beauty”- she says
Regardless of the stereotypes that she faced in terms of what beauty pageants stand to represent she has managed to rise up and embrace her beauty. In spite of her height ,Ayanda pursued modelling on a professional level.
She started professional modeling in 2017 when she was 17 at Open Eye Studio Modeling Agency. She went on to compete for Miss Teen Zimbabwe where she was crowned second runner up and then Miss Albinism Zimbabwe were she scooped the crown as Queen.
She recently co-founded a national teen beauty pageant called Miss Teen Intellect Zimbabwe which focuses on empowering young women on the importance of education and giving back to the community.
She is a brand ambassador for Ster Kinekor Bulawayo.
