The Mubaiwa family have pleaded with Emmerson Munangagwa to at least keep Marry under house arrest. They say this will be to protect her honour.
They feel like putting her in custody is being disrespectful to her. She is the wife of the country’s vice president so she deserves some respect regardless the accusations around her.
They think Munangagwa should interfere into this issue. They also added that Mary will not go anywhere if they put her on house arrest.
The Mubaiwas also think that this matter was not supposed to end up in court. They said this was only a family matter not criminal matter. Rather Chiwenga was supposed to confide in them first before ordering her arrest.
