Dr Misheck Sibanda has announced the appointment of several senior officers in the office of the president and cabinet and line ministries.
This move has been interpreted as a means by ED to surround himself with his loyalists amid speculations of mounting factionalism in the ruling party.
Major appointments made include :
Mr Zvinechimwe. R. Churu as Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Local Government, Public Works and National Housing.
Mr Aaron Nhepera as Permanent Secretary for Ministry of Home Affairs and Cultural Heritage.
Mr Melusi Matshiya as Permanent Secretary for Women Affairs, Community and SMEs development.
Ambassador Chitsaka Chipadziwa as Chief of Protocol in the Office of the President and Cabinet.
Ambassador Raphael Faranisi as Head of the President’s Secretariat im the Office of the President and Cabinet.
