On 18 October 2019, ZBC TV held an interview with MDC National Spokesperson Luke Tamborinyika.
The interview was so tense and touched on sacred cows concerning sanctions. The ZBC in its wisdom decided not to publish the video interview.
The major points that Luke touched on are
- Zimbabwe does not have a monopoly on sovereignty
- The real sanctions on Zimbabwe are not external, but self-imposed by the unethical practises by the government of Zimbabwe
- SADC must talk about the illegitimate sanctions that ED Mnangagwa has put on the people of Zimbabwe
- The only dialogue MDC is going to participate in is the one MDC mentioned in the RELOAD document
- The MDC has nothing to do with the suffering of Zimbabweans, it’s Zanu PF which is responsible.
