The Zimbabwe Consolidated Diamond Company (ZCDC) has reported claims by the United States of America that rough-cut diamonds from Marange are obtained from the use of forced labour as fake.
This comes after the US has tried to add more sanctions on the Zimbabwe diamond trade claiming that they are obtained through forced labor.
ZCDC Acting Chief Executive Officer, Rob De Preto, said: These allegations are fake and are only aimed at adding to the woes of Zimbabwe and we will deal with this matter accordingly.
Zimbabwe is known for producing vast diamonds and also exporting raw diamonds to the west and the eastern countries.
