Teaching: The Power of altars

Scripture: 1 Corinthians.1:18-31

18 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved, it is the power of God. 19 For it is written:
“I will destroy the wisdom of the wise;
the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate.”[c]
20 Where is the wise person? Where is the teacher of the law? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? 21 For since in the wisdom of God, the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe. 22 Jews demand signs and Greeks look for wisdom, 23 but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, 24 but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. 25 For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength.
26 Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. 27 But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. 28 God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, 29 so that no one may boast before him. 30 It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. 31 Therefore, as it is written: “Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord.”[d]

In the Testament the construction of altars was specific. Everything used was natural. An altar is a place of slaughter and sacrifice. However, the devil thrives in imitating. The devil came up with counterfeit altars to confuse the general public. The use of altars even in the New Testament did not end.

Altars are constructed according to different factors

Regional altars – continent based
These influence actions that are regional and national. That means the character of certain people in a country is the same. Gayism and lesbianism are influenced by altars of the Jezebel spirit.

The altar for Africa is the altar of fear. Some poverty spirits are motivated by the altar of poverty. The problem starts usually, when your altar is controlled by another active altar of a different god in the neighbourhood.

Well mannered children get married to their husbands but the moment they move to their new place of residence, they start acting against the acceptable morals of society and hence, become violent towards their spouses. The wife starts acting like she is the man and even start fighting the man. The man becomes violent and starts abusing his wife. For those in employment, the employer starts abusing the workers.

We need to ensure that we have altars in our homes and workplaces so that we don’t get controlled by altars of evil gods. Be careful, erect your altar today so that you are not controlled and so that your life and plans aren’t derailed.

Everyday of your life, you are controlled by either spirit of the devil or Spirit of God. Despite your good efforts, you may be distracted by the negative altar. You wont succeed even in the ordinary life activities if you are controlled by an altar in your vicinity. Some individuals join another company in its successful state but due to the evil altar controlling that person, the company’s business will start going down.

Thus, you need to have an altar of God in your area or neighbourhood. Without it, you become a victim of altar of sickness, poverty, death, delay or anti-marriage.

The power of the Cross overrides all evil altars.

We give all the glory to God. Mbiri kunaJesu.
