Soon after the demise of their father, the sons of the founding father of Zimbabwe have displayed political ambitions. Speculations had initially suggested that Mnangagwa would enroll Robert Mugabe Jnr into the party in the same way that Nelson Chamisa incorporated Vincent Tsvangirai.
Robert and Chatunga took time to engage with mourners who had filled the Rufaro stadium on Friday during a Robert Mugabe send-off rally. This was interpreted by many as a political mileage gesture.
