Zim gospel poetry is on the rise as the Lit fest Kanyanisa poetry slam one of the prominent Slams in Zimbabwe yesterday came to a showdown with three contesting poets (Nyanzvi , Mr Loyal and Aleck Leccoo )of which one of them was a gospel poet.
The show is designed to promote poetry in Zimbabwe and identify talent.
Speaking to Gambakwe media , the third place gospel poet expressed his gratitude for the opportunity Kanyanisa festival presented to them and also the acceptance of religious based poetry in a multi cultural society.
The winners are to participate in a grand poetry Slam to be hosted in November.
