Angeline Tatenda Khaka, an employee at Acacia Junior School, reportedly converted school fees for her own use In January 2021. The scheme was exposed on February 15, 2022, when two men confronted the school, after which Khaka was given leave to resolve the matter but never returned. Sometime after this, she fled the country, leading to a police report. Her attempt to flee to the US was stopped on March 6 of this year when she was arrested at the United States Embassy in Maputo. She was subsequently handed over to Zimbabwean officials last Friday and made her initial court appearance last Saturday.

A heartbreaking video has been shared of the accident scene of Sergeant Phillip Chiutsi , the driver of Zimbabwe Commander of the Defence Forces Driver who died in a car accident. The ZDF was unable to dispatch an ambulance and the bodies had to be carried away in a private vehicle. This scence shows the dire siuation across the country where services have collapsed and citizens have to cater for themselves in emergencies.

3.  Jubilee Metals is in the final stages of selling its South African chrome and platinum group metal (PGM) operations to focus on its copper business in Zambia. The sale is expected to be completed by the end of 2025. Jubilee is disposing of its South African assets to concentrate solely on its Zambian copper operations, where management sees greater growth potential and higher margins. The operations are being sold to a private mining and metals trading company, One Chrome (Pty) Ltd, for up to $90 million (approximately R1.6 billion). The sale has received approval from the South African Competition Tribunal. The main remaining condition is an audit-related item, along with final approval from the South African Reserve Bank, which is not expected to be withheld.
