WATCH LIVE as Saruwaka speaks on the 17 October Zimbabwe Protests that are set to be held in Harare on 17 October 2025.
Saruwaka is speaking about a planned protest on October 17, 2025 [00:44]. He states that this “revolution” is a people’s agenda, occurring when politics fail, and likens it to an uprising [01:02]. He emphasizes following “Commander Gza,” who gives the signal for action [01:31]. The reasons for the protest are said to be well-documented and will be shared later [02:04].
Saruwaka asserts that the protest on October 17th is about removing Mangagwa and the “Gananda system” from power [04:08]. The reasons he gives for this include:
- Mangagwa’s “high appetite” for abusing the Zimbabwean constitution [04:18].
- A proposal for a term extension until 2030, which Zimbabweans are urged to stop [04:29].
- Concerns about “looting by Gananda,” with names like Kudakwashe Tagwirei, Wicknell Chivayo, and Mangagwa’s children and wife being implicated [04:40].
- The suffering of the Zimbabwean masses due to these “Ganandas” who are in charge of “state capture” [05:20].
He clarifies that the agenda is not about putting someone in power, but about removing a leader who has failed [03:06]. Saruwaka also mentions that General Chiwenga is considered part of this revolution as he is pushing the people’s agenda and advocating for the arrest of “Gananda” [08:54]. The “stage of arresting the enemies of the people” is currently the focus, with lists provided by Commander Gza and opposition leaders [10:51].
Saruwaka confirms that he will be in Zimbabwe to attend a funeral and will be on the ground for the October 17th protest [17:27]. He assures that T-shirts, flyers, and transport will be available for the protest, but “ED 2030” (referring to a potential extension of Emmerson Mnangagwa’s term until 2030) will not be available [18:39].
