Gambakwe reports on a significant resolution passed in Manicaland by ZANU-PF, endorsing President Mnangagwa to remain in power until 2030. Patrick Chinamasa and Machacha have issued warnings to Chiwenga, insisting he must adhere to party resolutions.

Describing the situation as a “crisis” for Chiwenga and ZANU-PF leadership, Gambakwe warns that if unresolved by the weekend, serious consequences will follow. He highlights two factions: one firmly behind Mnangagwa (“ED”), and a larger group supporting Chiwenga. According to Gambakwe, almost all politburo leaders back Chiwenga, while supporters of “ED 2030,” including Chinamasa and Machacha, are those who have benefited materially, such as receiving cars.

He predicts that pushing for “ED 2030” after public opposition from Chiwenga is a “recipe for disaster,” likely to mar the upcoming annual people’s conference. Gambakwe calls out openly defiant party members aligned with Mnangagwa, listing provincial leaders in support of “ED 2030,” leaving Chiwenga politically isolated.

Gambakwe asserts that the party is moving forward with the “ED 2030” agenda, effectively telling Chiwenga to leave if he disagrees. He questions who will ultimately win this escalating public challenge.

Turning to his own political ambitions, Gambakwe announces his “Gambakwe 2028” platform to contest the 2028 elections. He argues for a new political party and leadership, criticizing both ZANU-PF factions and Chamisa. His campaign pledges include free houses, a minimum $1,500 salary for civil servants, a high-speed rail system, a streamlined government with only eight ministries, a military-planned city, homecoming initiatives, and a tourism-based economy.

Gambakwe warns that voting within ZANU-PF will only prolong conflict and declares “Gambakwe 2028” as the only viable path forward. He also critiques Chamisa’s approach to campaigning, suggesting that Chamisa will fail to build a strong party. Gambakwe calls on civil servants, soldiers, police, intelligence, and the air force reserve force to support his 2028 campaign as the future of the nation.
