Munyaradzi Machacha has told the Newsday Newspaper that a public announcement was prematurely made that Tagwirei and four others had been successfully elevated to the committee. He said Tagwirei’s membership of the CC will be made by the central committee which has not yet made a final decision.

The National Combating Corruption Summit will be hosted by the University of Johannesburg’s Office of the General Counsel (OGC) at the Keorapetse William Kgositsile Theatre in Auckland Park from September 3 to 5, 2025.
The summit, which is the second annual event of its kind, will bring together leaders from business, civil society, law enforcement, government, and academia to discuss the impact of fraud and corruption in South Africa and to co-develop strategies to create a more transparent and accountable society.
