Gift Ostallos Siziba has remembered the late activist Patson Dzamara, describing him as a “dedicated comrade and brother who left us far too soon.”
In a tweet posted on August 26, Siziba wrote“Today, August 26, we remember and honor the legacy of Patson Dzamara, a dedicated comrade and brother who left us far too soon. Continue to rest in peace bafo.”
Patson Dzamara, who was the younger brother of missing activist Itai Dzamara, was well known for his bold activism, advocacy for democracy, and resilience in the face of state repression. His passing in 2020 left a huge gap in Zimbabwe’s civic space, but his legacy continues to inspire many in the struggle for justice and freedom.
