In preparation with Thomas “Mukanya” Mapfumo’s farewell concert today in Birmingham, UK, he has met musician Tocky Vibes.
As the Chimurenga musician retires from music after over five decades in the music industry, he will be joined on stage by Tocky Vibes, Selmor, Mtukudzi his nephew Kurai Makore and Lindsay.
The Saturday the UK will host a historic and emotional night of Zimbabwean music as the legendary Mapfumo performs his grand finale show.
It will be venued at the New Bingley Hall.
The concert which marks the end of his touring career is a celebration of his monumental impact on Zimbabwe’s cultural and political landscape.
