The National Sports Stadium (NSS) has been cleared to host Category B matches, allowing it to stage Men’s Under-17, Under-20, and Under-23 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, as well as the preliminary rounds of the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup.

The clearance follows months of renovations after the Confederation of African Football (CAF) banned the venue from hosting international fixtures due to failing to meet required standards.

While the stadium is still not certified for senior men’s international matches, the approval marks a significant step forward in restoring the NSS to full international compliance.
