Former Wife of Apostle Chiwenga Refuses to Return Home, Public Fallout Unfolds After Failed Peace Talks
The marital dispute between Apostle Talent Chiwenga and his former wife, Vanessa, has spilled into the public domain after attempts at reconciliation collapsed over the weekend.
Sources say that on Sunday morning, Apostle Chiwenga called Vanessa in an effort to persuade her to abandon plans to publish two books detailing alleged abuse she endured during their marriage. He also urged her to return home despite reports that he is currently living with another woman.
According to those close to the matter, Apostle Chiwenga’s plan was to present Vanessa at his upcoming Gathering event in South Africa, to counter ongoing social media claims that she had left him.
However, Vanessa rejected the proposal outright. That refusal reportedly prompted Apostle Chiwenga to go live on social media later that same day, announcing their separation and levelling serious accusations against her, including claims that she tried to poison him.
Vanessa has dismissed all of the allegations as false. “If I wanted to kill him, why would he be asking me to come back home that very Sunday morning?” she said, adding that his anger stems from her refusal to reconcile. She described the preacher as “controlling” and accused him of having a preference for “high-class women.”
