Philanthropist and tech entrepreneur Strive Masiyiwa has sparked conversation around the transformative role Artificial Intelligence (AI) could play in reshaping education across Africa.

In a passionate message shared on social media, Masiyiwa posed a compelling question “What if we could use AI to improve education outcomes?”

Drawing on his decades-long work in education through his family foundation, which has supported over 400,000 children and youth, Masiyiwa revealed a persistent challenge reaching more learners with high-quality results.

“My wife and I have never been satisfied with the number of learners we’ve been able to reach, or the quality of all of the educational outcomes,” he wrote. “We would love to see this figure in millions and produce kids who all pass with flying colours.”

Masiyiwa believes AI could be the key.
