Zimbabwean football continues to buzz after Scotland FC, one of the country’s newest and most talked-about clubs, unveiled former Warriors captain Knowledge Musona as their latest marquee signing.
Political activist Jacob Ngarivhume weighed in on the deal with a humorous yet pointed tweet, referencing a conversation he had.
“Musona ndiye atonyura in this deal. Instead of going to university, adzokera ku grade 7 ne kuti ku primary kwave kubikwa porridge ne bulgar,” he quoted a source saying, in reference to the club’s grassroots setting.
The tweet accompanied a photo of Musona holding his new jersey alongside Scotland FC owner and businessman Scott Sakupwanya.

Musona’s signing marks a significant moment in Zimbabwean football, as the 34-year-old returns from a long career overseas that included stints in Germany, Belgium, and Saudi Arabia.
His move follows in the footsteps of Khama Billiat, who also joined Scotland FC early this year after leaving Yadah FC, signaling the club’s ambition to reshape local football.
