In a major boost for domestic tourism and travel, Fastjet Zimbabwe has officially launched a direct flight route between Bulawayo and Victoria Falls, answering long-standing calls from both travellers and tourism industry players.

Starting Friday, August 8, 2025, the airline will operate four weekly flights on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, connecting Zimbabwe’s second-largest city with its world-renowned tourism capital.

Flight Schedule:

Departure from Bulawayo: 13:25hrs

Arrival in Victoria Falls: 14:20hrs

Return from Victoria Falls: 14:50hrs

Arrival in Bulawayo: 15:45hrs

Fastjet will operate the new route using its trusted Embraer aircraft, offering a comfortable and efficient option for both leisure and business travellers.

Describing the route as “strategic,” Fastjet said the move is part of its broader commitment to supporting Zimbabwe’s tourism revival while expanding its network presence in Bulawayo.

The direct connection is expected to reduce reliance on longer, indirect travel routes and open up fresh economic and cultural opportunities between the industrial hub of Bulawayo and Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe’s crown jewel of tourism.

With the skies now open between the two cities, tourism stakeholders hope the new route will help drive visitor numbers, business travel, and regional connectivity positioning Zimbabwe as a more accessible and unified travel destination.
