Popular political commentator Cucsman has ignited fierce debate on social media after boldly stating that being in ZANU-PF feels better than joining any opposition party in Zimbabwe not out of loyalty, but because the ruling party offers tangible rewards while opposition politics delivers nothing but frustration.

In a viral tweet, Cucsman broke down his argument, “Right now, it honestly feels like being in ZANU-PF is better than being part of any opposition political party in Zimbabwe  and before you start getting emotional about it, let me explain why.”

According to him, those in the ruling party enjoy perks such as money, land, mining claims, luxury vehicles, and zero accountability. Meanwhile, opposition activists and supporters endure rigged elections, infighting, mass recalls, leadership chaos, and no material or political gain.

“They form parties, contest elections, we vote, the elections get rigged and then what? Nothing changes. Some unknown guy shows up and claims he owns the party. The leader walks away without a fight. MPs are recalled left, right, and center.”

He further criticized the opposition for failing to protect its base, especially in rural areas where supporters face harassment from state actors, only for the opposition leadership to go silent.

The post has sparked passionate responses, with some agreeing that the opposition is “directionless and weak,” while others argue that such sentiments normalize corruption and reward betrayal.

One  user replied, ” So are you joining Zanu-pf now” and he said not yet.
