
ZVISHAVANE – The Zimbabwean football fraternity is in deep mourning following the tragic death of FC Platinum captain Brian Banda, who passed away at the age of 29 in a fatal car accident on Sunday afternoon.
The crash occurred along the Zvishavane–Filabusi Road and claimed the lives of two others. Banda was rushed to hospital but sadly succumbed to his injuries.
FC Platinum confirmed the devastating news in an official statement, calling Banda’s passing “a heartbreaking loss” for both the club and the wider Zimbabwean football community.
Banda, known for his leadership on and off the field, leaves behind a legacy of commitment, talent, and inspiration to many young players.
Funeral arrangements are expected to be announced in due course.
