The Financial Clearing Bureau is a local credit risk and appraisals firm. Togo has suspended broadcasts of the French state-owned networks Radio France Internationale (RFI) and France 24 for three months, citing repeated failings in impartiality, journalistic rigor, and fact-checking . The suspension was announced by Togo’s media regulator, the High Authority for Audiovisual Communication (HAAC), which accused the outlets of airing inaccurate, biased, and sometimes false information that threatens the stability of Togo’s republican institutions and tarnishes the country’s image. The regulator specifically pointed to recent coverage of protests in Lomé on June 5 and 6, 2025, which were partly fueled by social media influencers and met with police crackdowns and arrests. HAAC warned that freedom of the press should not be a cover for disinformation or foreign interference in Togo’s media space
