some News To Share.

Effective 1 May 2025, I assumed the role of Chief Executive and Team Leader of 263Chat.

This is a personal milestone and also a bold new chapter for 263Chat, Zimbabwe’s pioneering and most trusted online media platform.

Exactly nine years ago today, I walked through the doors of 263Chat as an intern, young, curious, and hungry to learn. From those early days as a reporter to becoming a senior journalist and now leading this trusted organisation with a dynamic team, I’m in awe of how the journey has been. One word to describe it, SURREAL.

When I look back at every challenge, every story, every headline, I think this has shaped who I am. And now I step into this role determined to transform and grow the brand we all love.

Together with an incredible team, we are here to revamp and reignite the brand, with the vision of building an even stronger, sharper, and more impactful digital newsroom, one that continues to inform, engage, and reflect the pulse of the nation.

For more than a decade, 263Chat has been a pillar of credible, independent journalism in Zimbabwe. I’m proud to say that this legacy will not only continue under my leadership, but we will build on it, setting new standards for storytelling, digital innovation, and community-focused journalism.

To government stakeholders, corporate partners, civil society organisations, community leaders, and our diverse audience across Zimbabwe and beyond, I look forward to working, learning, and building with you. Your voices matter, and your stories are what drive us.

A heartfelt thank you to Nigel Mugamumu (Sir Nige), a mentor, leader, and the visionary behind 263Chat. Your trust in me means everything. Thank you for believing in me since day one.

To our loyal supporters, partners, and readers, this is your platform. I ask you to stand with us, support our work, and be part of this exciting transformation.

I’m Lovejoy, you know me. We’ve worked together, shared stories, ideas, and visions for a better media space. Walk with me once more, on this journey of change.
