Energy Minister July Moyo has offered clarity on Zimbabwe’s ongoing power supply difficulties, addressing the recent disruptions at Hwange Power Station and the Highfield substation.
The minister confirmed that while the Hwange shutdown and the Highfield fire occurred in proximity, they were not causally linked.
With thousands experiencing power outages, the Zimbabwe Electricity Supply Authority (ZESA) is undertaking active restoration measures.
Minister Moyo assured the populace that ZESA engineers are working diligently towards resolving both issues, with a projected full restoration at Highfield by Wednesday evening.
