The Minister of electricity, Kgosientsho Ramokgopa has ndicated that the whole SA nuclear energy build will cost R60 Billion and this money would not come from the fiscus. This implies that China would be funding this project with a loan. The initial study would cost R12 billion and the goal would be to provide an additional 10GW of power.
